Why M.D.S

Electrical that lasts.

Electrical work in older properties is unforgiving. Get the routing wrong and you scar plaster or chase through original timber. I plan every cable run before I lift a tool, terminate cleanly, label everything, and certify the lot. Whether it is a single circuit or a full rewire on a Victorian terrace, the standard is the same.

Most of my work comes from word of mouth. Lincoln is a small enough city that bad jobs follow you around, so I treat every property as if my reputation depends on it. Because it does.

Every quote is line-by-line and fixed. You see the cost of every stage and every material before I lift a tool. No sliding scope, no surprise variations.

Common questions

Electrical, asked.

How much does a full rewire cost?
For a typical three-bed Victorian terrace in Lincoln, I would expect a full rewire to run between £4,500 and £6,500 depending on the number of circuits, fittings and floor type. I quote line-by-line so you see exactly what is included.
Will you lift the floors?
On a rewire, almost always. I lift carefully, label boards as I go, and reinstate properly. On a period property I am extra careful with original boards and joists.
Do you give a certificate?
Yes. Every notifiable job is registered with building control and you receive an electrical installation certificate within seven days of completion.
Can you work alongside other trades?
Yes, and often I am the trade other builders bring in. I am happy to coordinate with kitchen fitters, plasterers, decorators and your main contractor on first-fix and second-fix timing.
